    Only 5 car lengths down the road? I sure hope you're looking farther up the road than that seeing as how it is only 1/4 the distance it'll take you to get that truck stopped. Your eyes ought to be looking as far up the road as you are physically able to see. If that is a mile, so be it. If it is 3 miles, even better. At the very LEAST, you ought to be looking far enough ahead so that you can stop BEFORE you reach an obstruction that comes into view. If you aren't paying attention to what is going on at least 1/4 mile ahead of you, you may as well be wearing a blindfold.

    Wow really? Do me a favor and re read then repost. The thread was about controlling drifting. I didnt mean (and i hope you knew this) for him to ONLY drive from 5 down thats just for lane controll. I hope your not advocating only looking 3 miles ahead and not paying any atention to whats right in front of you are you? If that be the case you mzy as well be wearing a blindfold. Next time respond to the op instead of responding to a post you didnt understand
