Serious bunch of alcoholics if they drink at work. Who would want to do that anyway?

It's not that difficult to get camera shots or video made of them doing that...if this owner is willing to let his workers drink on the job wall than that just shows What an irresponsible owner he is

I don't drink. Haven't since 1988. I'd still prefer this situation over working for a mega carrier. I have enough faith in my own mechanical ability to spot something done that wrong as to endanger my life however my main concern with a bunch of alcoholics running the show would be bankruptcy and me not getting paid. Glad I'm an O/O.

My dad drank beer when he worked on cars. Hell his 1971 Volkswagen Super Beetle had a beer keg gas tank.

I think there's a bit of a difference with changing oil on your car on a Saturday afternoon, and drinking a few, versus working in a commercial repair facility, and drinking while working on CMV's on the clock.

    SHO-TYME and BrenYoda883 Thank this.

Thinking this may be getting blown out of proportion.
It's their property, and the OP has posted NOTHING regards shoddy work on the (no doubt company owned) equipment.
OSHA? Really? A country of snitches and lawyers wet dreams. Not safe anywhere apparently.
It's the bosses property, the bosses vehicles, and so on. If they enjoy a cold one on a Saturday afternoon while doing a grease job, I wouldn't have an issue with it. Hell, I do better work with a few beers inside me than most of the sober parts swappers out there these days, in so called "professional" shops.....
Stop whining and get a different job if it bothers you that much.

Just get a new job and get over it already.

EXACTLY! I'd trust a decent guy with a beer in his hand 100 times more than the parts swappers you find in a lot of "shops".
