No offense taken, we are on the same page about the different laws in different countries. I used to haul a lot of loads of cars from Michigan to up state New York. Never could figure out why we were restricted as to where we could run when we were loaded but empty we could run any routes we wanted to, not very rational to me. Then in the really old days an American driver would be stopped at the border and a Canadian driver would drive him and his truck to deliver the load and return them to the boarder. Never did understand that one either. Oh well difference is one thing that makes the world go round.
That I personally wouldn't mind so much, as long as they were all punched out and on their own time. But drinking while working is totally unacceptable.
Ok this was the scenario ... I was in the shop getting my truck fixed ( brake problem) and they were drinking , not exactly sure how many they drank before I got there so couldn't give you a count ( it was after hours but I had a load that needed to go ASAP so they worked on it) one mechanic litterally fell off my truck climbing around like a monkey and the rest of the mechanics started laughing and pushing him around when he got up , I honestly did get a lil scared and worried about driving it afterward , nothing happened but I am in the process of looking for a new job , I didn't call anyone to report this so no worries to all concerned about that.... thank you all
