Use a q-tip to get dust out of small dash crevices.

I had a boss man in searcy at the ready mix plant once. He was not doing well. Memphis Corporate paid a visit and our ready mixers were a bit battleworn and dusty, muddy, cut tires etc. it was a difficult workweek that generated almost 70 total average hours per driver. So the loving care went by the way side.

Bossman told me he demands that mack to be clean in a hour because I have a job to go to and they are waiting on it. (One inch of mud in the bottom of the cab floor.... among other problems...)

I got in it. Drove to the hard stand where there is a two inch water line, hose and nozzle.

    Opened both doors.

Fired the water into the entire cab interior making sure to wash everything out of the crevices under the dash etc.

Funny thing though, Despite his demands and loss of temper I have not seen the boss man come out of his office the rest of the day and that precious job they are waiting on me went bye bye....

On the cascadia I've gone from 21" to 19" becuase it helps them to not collect ice(at the outer tips) as bad.

I see it in those fiberglass big dashed Fruit shakers,, 13 letter s--t spreaders, and newer model trucks. Those are the lazy, pigs who drive company trucks, and have no respect for themselves, let alone the companies property.

I have a problem with those drivers also.

But can we at least go easy on the trucks? They did make SOME good ones over the years. They might not be still with us but they cannot be ALL that bad. (And yes I do keep a list of bad trucks such as the cursed White Commander COE over the road.. oy was that a brick schmithouse...

And the GMC Astro, too much windshield and not enough defroster. The Astro was the worst truck I ever drove. I remember plastering my hand on the windshield until I couldn't hold there any longer, then run the wipers for a minute then put my other hand up there, until I was able to defrost a little hole to see through.

I have everything mounted on dash. I live in Pennsylvania and they say you cannot have anything on windshield.

    It is possible.

§ 393.60 Glazing in specified openings.

    (e) Prohibition on obstructions to the driver's field of view—(1) Devices mounted on the interior of the windshield. (i) Antennas, and similar devices must not be mounted more than 152 mm (6 inches) below the upper edge of the windshield. These devices must be located outside the area swept by the windshield wipers, and outside the driver's sight lines to the road and highway signs and signals.

    - eCFR — Code of Federal Regulations

I never mounted anything to the windshield. My GPS was always attached to the dash.
