Wow, just got this pop up on my phone multiple times when I was driving. I had to like read it like two times.
Wow, really?!? That’s kinda interesting for at that age to do state crossing.
There’s so many opinions and arguments about this I bet. I mean, I understand of shortage of truckers that they are becoming in needed. Truly understand this. But my understanding is that it’s true for more of a chance for accidents to occur more. Which won’t help at all for the shortage of truckers. Just saying. Because they didn’t have more of a experience behind the wheel of a 18 an wheeler. To me, that will be a age to be allow to drive on. Don’t get me wrong. And that my opinion to drive out of state should be at least 22 should they get a feeling of the road in their home state.

Yes, we all have - and that's exactly why this law is a bad idea.

Personally I think young driver's should not be state limited but rather regional. I mean, you live in Texas you can do fine driving just in Texas but if you live in, for example, Rhode Island you are very limited. I use the example of an intrastate driver from Iowa. This driver can now legally drive 300+ miles from Council bluffs to Davenport but cannot drive a couple miles across the river to Omaha. Makes no sense. Instead, why not allow 18-20 year olds to drive regionally, say 200 miles from their home terminal or some such regardless of whether it crosses the state line or not.
