Smelling pot or seeing it constitutes probable cause for a search.Old - School Thanks this.

Actually I have only been searched once and the officer laid off after words due to 1) I was very cooperative (I had nothing to hide so have at it and be the fool) and 2) there was nothing to find, period. He could make his own opinion about the situation as you say "I didn't get caught this time". He just was being a typical jerk and thought he might stir something up. Yes, I did allow it because I had nothing to hide. I never said he apologized, but, his attitude sure did change. I will go ahead and say this was years ago and me and my girlfriend were fooling around in my car. Nobody was nude and later we got married, haha. Solo_Seat, you know how Ft. Oglethorpe's finest are.
To me, if someone won't volunteer to a search to prove they have nothing, that make me suspicious. Searches or frisks are only suppose to happen if there is reasonable suspicion that can be proven in court later. Like we are all saying here "don't give them a reason". I was an offficer myself once. Like you, it wasn't for me either. I have also studied criminal justice and you can google warrants for mobile units to find what I'm saying and more details that I didn't mention along with the cases that correspond leading up to these laws.Old - School Thanks this. -
My point exactly.

Your first remark speaks volumes.
There are several companies manufacturing constant monitoring and/or recording surveillance systems for a multitude of purposes including fleet and transportation monitoring. The companies below are just a small sampling of companies doing what you say is not being done in regard to recording. The JanusCam can record 24 hours per day AND (drum roll please) OFFERS LIVE (REAL TIME) viewing and monitoring.

There are things of which you're not aware.
The "nothing to fear if you have nothing to hide" analogy was used and parroted by the Nazis. -
"Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." ~ Benjamin Franklin -
"Those who are able to see beyond the shadows and lies of their culture will never be understood let alone believed by the masses." ~ Plato

The OP and the thread was about Drivecam , I was talking about Drivecam.
So you incorrectly attribute claims to me about other systems.
Drivecam does not have the hardware to record at will.
As for an analogy being used by the Nazis makes it no less true.
Just as much of scientific discovery developed under the Nazis is real used by all today. -
Liberty is essentially freedom.
Truth is what sets free.
If showing what actually happens rather then what can be proved with out evidence is what you seek then it is truth you seek.
If what you seek is freedom to cover your arse when you are guilty by regulating evidence , it is another type of liberty then what Franklin was referring to I suspect. -
