I’m guessing from your attitude toward brokers that the company you work for still hasn’t gone out to try and solicit their own freight and you guys are still reliant on spot market loads. If your company won’t go after their own freight now what would happen if brokers went away tomorrow and the only way to get loads was to solicit shippers directly?

Didn’t you say in another thread you’re at a company with around 100 trucks? What’s their truck to trailer ratio? What is stopping them from soliciting work on their own? The company I’m leased to is roughly 100 trucks, maybe a little over, and we rarely haul broker loads off the spot market. Maybe your company needs to take a look at their business plan or maybe you need to take a look at the company you choose to work for. It’s never healthy to place blame on others for a situation that can easily be remedied on your own.

Geez! This has nothing to do with what I may think about freight brokers. I just asked an answer to one request.

While it is true that I believe brokers are unmitigated pieces of donkey dung, this particular conversation has nothing to do with that.

How is it that you can creep earlier comments but cannot seem to follow this part of the conversation in this thread?

The list is too long to go through here unfortunately.

I didn't see a response to my question, what specific point are you trying to make? Or are you just trolling?

So you're saying JRC & Yellow Logistics is "restructuring" ?

That post pretty much crossed the line. You're not engaging in a discussion anymore, you're trolling and instigating arguments just for the sake of stirring things up.
    It needs to stop.

Man's just looking for his "gotcha" moment. No real point, just trying to bait any of us into a defense of a position he can pounce on. Funny thing is, @wichris already answered his question.

How long do you think this period of overcapacity will last?

My guess is it'll be another six months or so before it starts to trend the other way. You'll know it when you see another thread about the "Rates are really good!" or similar, lol.
