Exactly what I was going to say. I've talked to drivers that always ran hard, never wasted a minute, over 3,000 miles a week, etc. The next time I hear from them they're working in an entirely different career field. People just get burnt out. I stay out 4-5 weeks and take roughly a week off. I plan at least one full weekend off during my trip out to a destination I want, take every Sunday off, and I plan my trips accordingly to where I'm out stretching my legs every 200-250 miles. And I'm not far behind the go-getters at all. The difference is hardly noticeable and I have no idea why so many drivers these days are impatient.

I've had same night run 25 years averaging 35 hours per week. Sort of "burnout proof"

I ran every week from Omaha NE Sunday morning to Oakland CA Tuesday morning then reload in Nor CA back to Aurora CO
Then back to Omaha by FRI afternoon
8.5 years 48 weeks a year drop and hook but it will #### sure burn you out at 35 to 3800 miles in 5.5 days
Take pork out to port for export then alcohol back and Pepsi back to Omaha
    Roughly 171k miles a year
Now I gentleman truck I run about 1800 to 2000 mi a week and off generally 3 days a week.
After 33 years my big long days are done
No more ####ing reefers or meat plants either

It hardly ever lasts more than 40-50 years, but it is common. That doesn't mean you should accept it. Either change your mind or change our work.

Running the same route day in and day out has its ups and downs. I developed friendships and met some really nice people that I enjoyed seeing. Then I had customers who could go #### themselves. When they decided to go with another supplier I was glad. They could make a 15 minute stop miserable. The small customers always seamed to be the most difficult.
