Does the camera have audio? Next thing ya know they'll be disciplining drivers for "inappropriate comments" while driving, e.g. "Shove this camera up your ____ you stinkin' ____ !!!" and "Look at that stupid ___ four wheeler!"

Inward-facing cams don't surprise me: if the driver gets in an accident, and was shown to be nodding off, then the company can throw the driver to the wolves, and perhaps avoid the litigation whip; and definitely have cause to fire the driver immediately. Also to keep drivers from carrying unauthorized passengers. That doesn't bother me too much, my bus has a camera on it, so I've gotten used to it, I guess.

But a camera aimed into the sleeper?? Yeah, I have a huge problem with that. Privacy is important, and the company doesn't have the right to watch me while I'm in the sleeper for any reason.

But, aren't we though?? The 1% and their lapdogs in politics have already stomped us to the level of dirt, it's almost to the point of slavery, if we want those few crumbs they see fit to sprinkle upon us.

We are not slaves we are professionals. That's why the camera is facing the sleeper birth. To prove that we are acting professional at ALL TIMES, even when we are farting in our sleep.

Management & Executives continue to rationalize draconian behavior.

Soon they will require a drivers brain to be implemented with a remotely controlled behavior chip.

It will keep getting worse, till Drivers decide to stand up for themselves, and each other.

I had one in a bus also. But even if the cam in the truck is only operable while the truck is in motion, I still consider this unacceptable. A bus is just different. You go home at the end of the day, or motel. You don't live out there. A daycab truck I would not complain.

Even if it only records on "critical events" etc., those settings can be adjusted for minor corrections or rumble strips. And of course there is Edward Snowden. You know where this could ultimately go. I understand if you've been at a company a long time and want to preserve your retirement and seniority. But I agree mass exodus from companies that do this is the best message that can be sent. And yes, they do record audio.
