my understanding was/is, that the driver facing cameras, only activate in an event situation, like a sudden braking, sudden turning of the wheel, and then only record the only few seconds worth..???
from what i gather, they are always "on" so if in the case of an incident, they hold onto the data from what, 10-15 seconds before the event, up to some time afterwards..???
other wise, they get over written??? -
I don't know how the software works....
I do know that before I got my truck I was hired by a local company that would've been a good job with good benefits. They told me about all the cameras and I told them thanks but no thanks.G.Anthony Thanks this. -
They can program them however they darn well please. If they want to have a setup that only records the time around certain incidents, they can. If they want something that records everything, 24/7, then they can.

Haha as soon as I read this I thought to myself I would pick my nose and wipe it on the camera, sure enough your next post said just that.HorseShoe Thanks this.

Wonder how long it will be before there are stories of abuse of the system and 'leaked' videos. Like the TSA leaked body image scanners.

It wouldnt make it to the news because nobody cares about us smelly truck drivers. Only when we get in an accident with one of "them" are we news worthy
Cottonmouth85 Thanks this. -
Still, there are alot of females that drive for these big brother companies.
