He was going down a 10% grade when he lost control. RIP https://cdllife.com/2018/police-discover-missing-truck-driver-killed-mountainside-crash/
I run central VA to western side of WV a few times with loads less than 30K, and never, ever use route 33. This is the reason why. I pulled a reefer load of eggs ONCE, and it was heavy as hell. Them hairpin's and steep grades will do you in quick. Sadly, this driver took that risk.
RIP, not much left of that truck. I took that road one time but I was empty. I’d of hated to been loaded heavy.
It's not for me. Even though I like mountain grades. Never mind the hauling of eggs open that one trailer door slowly, usually a 30 count box waiting to fall on your head.
I'm really looking forward to taking 33..... On a motorcycle. Did it ONCE in a semi, because it didn't look too bad in the road atlas, and GPS said it was the shorter route.
I would not put much weight on the "foreign" aspect. @Trucking in Tennessee Did you make the same comment when that "all American" dude went missing for 4 days coz his GPS took him thru a logging road? Oregon truck driver missing for 4 days emerges from wilderness
What does having a foreign name have to to training. Fact is , might of been U S born and raised. Even if not the case , what does being a foreigner have to do with training.
