Driver facing camera, was he just messing with me?

They actually believe a company would
Spend thousands of dollars to point a camera
Right at them,and not use it all the time.

 

They're not as expensive you might think, and the amount of money they protect is astronomical without them. I could install a better system and would cover every angle of the truck and half the cost, The most expensive cost the person you hire that likes to basically screw off to install it to increase his pay. the drive cams I see in the rigs from mega carriers and small are at best poor.

I know its insane and others consider them 3rd world yet they don't feel need to censor there bodies and feel ashamed, though America seems to have the fattest people and if your fat and hate your self do something about it, every day you have a new chance to lose weight. If your happy being fat then more power to you. Personally would love to stay in japan it's my fav country the problem its as expensive has Honolulu, Hawaii I say that because that's only placed in Hawaii I stayed during my younger days my relative was station at Hickam base. And there no ferries to other islands you have to book a plane
The other problem with japan the don't do dual citizenship I don't know any person in their right mind gives up being American citizenship for another country.

I still remember people saying Obama was a terrible choice threatening to become citizenship in another country some would say Mexico another group saying Canada. Aside from there bigotry from hatred apparently for black people you can tell they aren't in there right mind. Unlike my buddies, I don't hate Obama or Trump I give anyone who comes pres respect because you should honor the office, even if you disagree with there ideas. What's funny these people who threaten to leave become a citizen other countries don't prob they figured out how crap Mexico is you want to see bad cops go to Mexico you will get pulled over and they will ask for a bribe or you will go to jail if you are lucky. I got pulled over 12 times there once all wanted one thing money. Don't bring your kids to Mexico especially if you white even in mission, tx you see all these posters missing children 90% white majority have a big feature that stands out blonde hair blue eyes, sometimes they get them back if they get money to the kidnapers others times you will never see again.

 

I agree. take a photo of the inside of the truck from the cameras point of view, tape it to the visor and place it in front of the camera, probably take them a while to figure it out. Be fun to try in any case. What there going to call and tell youtheres no driver in your truck, and they have the evidence.

 

It’s still recording though. It doesn’t need to stream 24/7. Just needs to record 24/7 and then stream whatever time is requested.

 

I drove for a company that had driver facing cameras. Some of figured out that the cameras reset at about 1 o’clock in the morning. I would turn the battery switch to the off position and the camera could not reset or download any information that was recorded. I ended up leaving this company.

 

Why are you working for a company that has driver facing cameras in the first place? There's plenty of other places to work.

 

The camera is recording all the time, and it will write over the top of a unflagged file. This may take several days to happen depending on the camera settings and the size of the memory card. Things that trigger a event will flag the file,and may (depending on programing) alert someone that an event has taken place. When I drove for Whole foods there camera would go off every time I passed under a bridge.
