Driver facing camera

Just to clear up some camera cheerleader BS spewed on this thread...
Here's some of what drivers whom actually have had them in their truck have to say:

Point being in regards to privacy and trucking company LIES... we're told it won't activate unless of a "critical event" BUT many many drivers have reported it being activated while rolling down the highway during no such "critical event".
The stories are out there saying they got messages via qualcomm blasting them for what they're doing at that current moment.. even though supposedly they can't watch and listen anytime they want.
Also read and heard personally at my time with Crete of drivers putting something in front of the lens to block the view from the driver and then BAM the driver get blasted for it that same day again with no "critical events".
Trucking companies say over and over again they respect our privacy, they can't view you when they want AND it only gets activated during a critical event.... HOWEVER drivers with them over and over again have called all that out to be BS man!

 

Add Crete, they have cams in about 150 trucks. Recruiter said they weren't going to all trucks but couldn't guarantee.

 

Nothing a good piece of duct tape won't fix

 

I'm gonna take a pic of me standing in sleeper nude and keep in front of lens and when they complain I'm gonna claim sexual harassment.

 

Never had a problem with a front facing camera, matter of fact I'm considering getting a dash cam just in case something happens. It can come in handy, but a driver facing camera I have a major problem with. It's one of the reasons I left my last company.

 

Camera's..jeez.

Enough..I'm getting ready to take the train to my own authority.

Don't forget the trucks and even trailers that have tracking devices on them lol
