The point is you dont own that truck. You become the owner and you can decide what cameras go where. Yet as long as you are a company driver refusing to accept the costs of driving your own rig? You have to accept they want to know why you put their rig in the ditch. Deal with it!

 

My company has driver facing cameras, doesn’t bother me a bit, Iknow what activates them and I avoid doing that, I’m not paying for the truck so they can put what ever safety devices they want to protect THEIR ASSEST

What activates them? Loud music, using your phone?

 

Who in the world would do that in an 80k lbs rig anyways. You could kill yourself

 

Can you imagine what hell will break lose if you rear-end a car with your 80k lbs rig? The thought of that should make the driver think 1000 times before texting on his phone!
It is criminal to text while driving an 80k lbs truck.
