    Trucking started going downhill when deregulation of the industry took place in 1980.

    So what you have been hearing is correct.

    That may be true but if you pick the right degree life can be a lot easier. My wife has a 2 year nursing degree and makes over 70K per year working from home for Blue Cross Blue Shield.

    Have you tried your local state or federal jobs? Or even a police officer or firefighter? Many careers start entry level and give you the training on the job that you need. You're young. Hell maybe even a State Trooper.
