As a weekend project I created a calculator that helps company drivers estimate their pay weekly and annually based on CPM, miles driven, and some other factors:
    https://truckersreport.outgrow.co/driverpaytest

What other things are company drivers commonly paid for besides miles driven? On the calculator, I have:
    Tarping
    Extra Stops
    Detention (yeah, right)
Misc. Bonuses - for things like safety bonus and profit sharing

    added:
    Unloading/Loading
    Pick-up/Drop-off

I didn't include Breakdown Pay because if it happens often enough that you can reliably calculate it, you're probably getting a new job.

What else should be in the calculator?

I knew I was forgetting something obvious. What are the lowest and highest compensation (per load) you've seen for unloading?

For job analysis ( quality ) give the driver the hub miles operated also. This way he can calculate the pay loss from actual.
Lets also throw in a "free time" category so he can see how many hours he gives away.

Ultimately the driver will be able to calculate his real wages. ( Although he may not want to know lol)

Good ideas, but probably better to do that in a separate calculator. Could be titled, "Does my job pay less than McDonalds?"

Other pay I get is drop/hook, fueling, pre-trip/post-trip, all wait times, breakdown, drug tests, training, in traffic stopped after 15 minutes, but that's LTL. I prefer making money for my time out rather than getting screwed by an OTR company.

    Answer would be less.....

My point was to actually awaken the fleet. I was in the same rat race before I found private fleet.

Point: Mechanics are covered under the FLSA just like a driver BUT get paid hourly and overtime, The reason drivers don't and mechanics do is because drivers allow it. Your calculator would put hard numbers in front of the driver that even Ray Charles could see yes?

Per diem? When I was working for a company drivers got a flat rate per diem for each 10 hr sleeper berth logged.
