It's just that you should expect more from upper management. If he does the same thing with official company business, emails etc., it doesn't reflect too well on the company as a whole.

Having said that, more safety people, whatever, should really be asking those kinds of questions more often. I'm all for improvement.

 

One other thing. Might improve the industry as a whole if more people took the time to ensure that things like spelling are correct. Even on a forum like this. Presents a more professional image.

Hmm, the local gig I just got pays hourly plus a $30 safety bonus per day mon-thurs, $35 on fri, and $53 on sat...bonuses paid weekly. All for showing up reliably and keeping your nose clean. THAT is driver retention.

Careful now, you'll end up in the "penalty box" for making such a suggestion or correcting another's spelling.

 

Oh, I understand that perfectly well. However, pretty much my whole point was about the fact that the OP is upper-level management. You should expect more from someone like that.
