The Feds look at you as two separate entities. You the company and You the driver. IF you the driver are involved in an accident or an illness that is debilitating the Feds want an office where they can get files and reports that don't need You the business owner around to be able to find what they want for an investigation.
To prove your innocence. hahhah
Very important to belong to a drug plan consortium before you drive for your company. To CYA, I would have a complete alcohol and drug analysis done before you drive for yourself.
I did and I have it done with any accidents or incidents. I have only done this 3 times, never was required but did them any way.$50 each is cheap insurance.
