Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I also did hear this from the trainers at the school when I stopped by to talk and say hi................

Yupers on that great post there danc69ru, I was feeling exactly that way, fuel prices, greedy brokers, lazy and uncaring dispatchers 20 years of it five different major trucking companies and still couldn't make ends meet. Was starting to feel like failure in everything I did, sort of makes a driver feel he's not worth much to himself or family....Lifes better now, and beleive it or not all because of one dispatcher/broker whatever she is....god bless her she keeps me moving and has never even given me a load that pays less then $2 per mile, i get all the fuel and she has never sent me or left me anywhere without a load. Hell i heard through the airways she turned down a shipper that had 12 loads daily coming out of a company in alabama cuz they wanted flats, tarps, binds, chains etc. whole works and paying only 1.25 she told shipper call me when you can give me 2 or more plus $50 to tarp otherwise don't waste my guys time. Oh and I'm now one of her guys...Bless Her Soul, GOOD LUCK GUYS HANG IN THERE, THERES A TRUCKING GOD AFTER ALL or goddess??

A true story; some time back, when I worked for swift, i was in their fontana terminal, waiting to talk to their log book czar. I over heard a lady recruiter talking to a mexican fella about hiring on to them. He couldn't speak one word of english. He had to have an interpreter translate everything. When they were through, I told the recruiter that she couldn't legally hire someone who can't speak any english. She told me to mind my own business and shut my f'n mouth! Or, she'd have me terminated! I couldn't believe what I'd heard with my own 2 ears! Does that tell you all something?? Oh yeah, freight was slow they told me that day!
-
Getting terminated from Swift probably would've been the best thing for you, but not before you did some damage to them for that illegal incident.
-
I terminated myself a little bit later, as the miles dropped off, while they kept pushing out newbies out of their school, like rabbits have babies!
-
Ya, it tell's me something. It sorta confirms what people are writing about SWIFT, they are moving towards hiring Mexicans to drive trucks in America. Swift's TN, truck driver training centers are under investigation, google it. And they will use all the vuge and ambiguious confusing things that are happening on this subject to do it. All the confusion is intensional. It is a way to beat Americans wages down.
Our gov. is also setting things up to allow Mexicans to drive truck. Someone posted a that New Hampshire has put down a law saying you have to speak english to drive. Why would they do this? They use the constitution to protect the Mexican Invaders and provide cheap labor and new consumers for corprations.
It's good you wrote this. Thank you. There probably should be a thread for reports like yours.

Good points Mannmk! I think you're absolutely right! Read what Mexicotrucker had to say. They claim it has nothing to do with illegals, etc.
-
Of course they will deny anything.

This the new way of doing things.
