Wow. I hope that does not happen to myself. I been hired with USA as of Friday. Atleast DS goes to bat for you and tries to fine a new company.

How does getting you hard copy of your CDL work. Do you get it from your state of record or AR where the school is?

AR only does hard copies, but if you're from out of state, it will cost you $5.00 instead of $50 like the residents pay. Then when you go home before coming to orientation you can get them changed over and it depends on what your state does...AL still gives paper copies.

I went to C1 back in Nov 09 and finnished early december.. Great school for those who can learn quickly.. if you're a slow learner... you may be in over your head.. they do move VERY fast, but they do get the job done and they do STRESS safety.. no matter how well you drive the truck.. if you're not paying CLOSE attention to EVERYTHING around you.. they won't even let you go take the road test at the testing facility.. now I don't know anything about the AK school, but the IN school was great.. we were put up in the holiday inn a few miles up the road, and the instructors were cool as hell. the trucks on the other hand... well... they were in the condition you'd expect from having 30+ students a day beat on them.. (aka i'm suprised that they actually pass DOT.. but that's niether here nor there) but it will teach you to shift right or you won't be moving.. but they are a good school..

    That's AR not AK(Alaska...lol)

AR has dorms where it used to be Maverick, and they just turned the offices into rooms in one building and already had rooms in the other.

I not much for drag racing. I more of a circle track guy. I go to East Alabama Motorspeedway about 4-5 times a season.

Cool well good luck in your endeavors. If youmhabe any questions, feel free to ask. Not a seasoned vet, but am just a few weeks ahead of you, so can likely prepare you for anything coming up as much as possible. From what I gather we will be meeting our trainers tomorrow, so we may be heading outnfrom there. They told us when we left orientation today to pack our bags, and bring them with us, so I'm assuming we will be heading out tomorrow evening.

    highvoltage Thanks this.
