Platinum ranking for mac 30 I had it for awhile, got into a minor dinger (preventable) Got dropped to gold and lost mac 30
My understanding is that Gold will get you, at most, 2 load offerings from Macro 30 and Platinum will get you up to 3. I don't know for sure as I was only Gold for 1 week and didn't attempt Macro 30 during that week.
Since you all don't seem to mind me peppering you with questions (and I appreciate this) how long did it take you to get to Platinum? What are the guidlines for this?
Nope, that's all you are allotted, no more questions...Like I said earlier, it doesn't matter to me anyway because of the division I am in, but I'm not platinum anyway. Been gold silver and bronze at times, but never platinum. It has to do with your service record with Swift, if you have had an accident, rated loads and rated miles over the last year. All the otr loads are considered rated, the shuttle loads are not for instance. They redo the status weekly. Regional and dedicated both are considered rated as well I think, but I don't know if dedicated gets the benefit of mac 30, my particular regional does not, although the loads and miles are rated.
I was platium when I left and on the glr account and wasn't able to use mac 30. I believe it was 0 service failures. 99 percent or greater on time delivery. And I believe a set amount of miles each month. On the swift website there is a section on ranking and requirements.
Gold and Platinum get Macro 30. In order to get Platinum ranking, you have to maintain Gold for 12 consecutive quarters. For now, L/O and O/O are required to be at least 4-Star. 4- and 5-Star drivers get, Macro 30. To get 5-Star ranking, you must maintain 4-Star for 12 consecutive quarters. Ranking is driven by your safety and service records as well as productivity. It did make a difference when I was OTR, being able to utilize Macro 30. Now that I'm on a dedicated fleet, it is nothing more than bragging rights. I've been 4-Star since 90 days after returning to Swift. I was here before as a company driver and maintained the same record. I never had problems getting loads and staying busy. Planners then would have to look through the screen to see whether you were likely to make a tight load. Now, your ranking is right there where they can see it. They will try to plan the more challenging stuff on higher ranked drivers. At least, that's what is supposed to happen.
Thanks Injun! That makes great sense. A couple people I have heard from that currently drive for Swift say that Macro 30 keep them from hardly ever seeing a preplan. I will be coming back in January and I hope when I get to Gold status that proves true for me also. One of the toughest parts about my first stint with Swift was the constant sitting between loads. Sometimes for days. I know freight is stronger now that in '09 as well. I appreciate you taking time to respond.
I will admit that I have seen alot of better loads on Mac 30 then my pplans, but I have also seen some real crappy ones, and those, do not even bother to answer, like dh 450 to go 710 and dh 150 to go 250. Many times I find that I find the better ones in the early morning when get up, and the crap ones are left on during the night trying to cover.
