You need 2 years for most oil field exp. some stuff to consider, like nowhere to live in ND. Below zero this time of year in ND. Consider going to Schlumberger, Key, and oh by the way if you go there as general labor they will train you to drive at 18 to 22 bicks per hour, even better than free school.

Oh yeah he in Bakersfoeld it about 70 degrees today.

Justt some thought. Oh yea the pay works say 22 per hour for the first 8 then 33 for 9 thru 12 going up to 33 over 12. and if they fail to give you 10 off you start back at 33. Of course depends on your base rate but thats how mine works.

Right on that is some great info and advice.

For housing I have a newer van style motorhome I will be staying in and I have longtime friends that live in Williston and Bowbells that will let me park for free.

I know the cold is going to suck.

Eventually I would really like to get on with one of those big companies like Shlumberger, Key, MBI etc. hauling crude but I plan to just "get in where I fit in" once I get over there. My girlfriends boss' husband is an O/O over there and is running 3 trucks right now. I am going to hit him up after I get done with school but I am not counting on that.
