That I can man I cracked 120 thousand my rookie year with them snakes at cr England. Guess I'm gonna have to do it again. Go play nice with the punks for a little while. I'm leaning towards it just gotta get the wife on board.
Congrats. But don't get too used to it. The freight market is at an all-time high right now, but it won't last forever. Everybody is desperate for drivers these days. Get in the door somewhere and start building that resume before the party is over. No pun intended.
Russian is a nationality not an ethnicity/race. So not possible to be racist, but the trucking companies , mostly Chicago based, run by Slavics from former Soviet communist countries , got their bad reputation somehow , And 99% of trucking companies run by Russians are very sketchy outfits . Id be very very cautious of them. Driving a truck owned by someone other than yourself , as a 1099 contractor is almost certainly illegal .
Not being a no it all. But I been round the block in my almost 8 years out there before that doomed night. So I do agree roundhouse.
call any and every company within commuting distance if you want local(ish), may be a crap job for a while, but better than nothing. There was a guy a couple years back that got hired on by a local haz outfit that actually got a DUI in a CMV at the scale, he was out it for a year or so and then got hired on. Been there since July 19 or so. Don't give up up hope, but keep on keeping on.
From what I have been reading and hearing about Western Express, it is a 2nd. chance company. If I'm wrong, I do apologize. God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.! The absolute sheer driving force of our national economy - without truck drivers, our entire national economy would come to an absolute standstill - if not outright be dead. Over the mountains, through the woods, into the valleys, coast to coast, from sea to shining sea - truck drivers can and do go anywhere and everywhere, every day, every night, all year round.
@Willbrian88 1) Many years ago I gave up drinking . I honestly cannot handle it. I found this out the hard way both in and out of service, many years ago. Believe it or not, I can actually get drunk on one can of beer, I kid you not. FORTUNATELY & THANKFULLY, I never got a DUI or DWI. For this, I am EXCEPTIONALLY GRATEFUL. 2) You may want to consider doing what I did many years ago, however, this is your decision. When I gave up drinking, I had to find a whole new set of friends & acquaintances to socialize with. Some drinkers will understand someone who doesn't drink, others will be put off by it. Good luck to you! God bless you and your entire family! God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!
