Not that they were putting out the fire for 4 hours, that they were attending to and watering a hazardous chemical reaction for 4 hours. (Isn't there a reason that even micro versions of one of these batteries aren't allowed in aircraft cargo?)

Didn't a number of Dow chemical plants get shut down permanently after such events? Where are the tree huggers on this one?

I thought it was always about the environment?

So by your own article they were there for four hours. Sorry you are unable to read the source you provide.

The part where you can't read what I wrote.
The reason it never reignited was the fire department was there wasting their time for four hours. It was only by luck they weren't needed for another fire. But as the article you posted quotes that it makes me wonder why you keep trolling. That's the only reason I can fathom you refuse to read what you posted.

 

The OP article said it did reignite.

Nice copout. When I pointed out that the OP article was wrong, you called me fake news. But you still haven't pointed to a thing in my article that was incorrect. I can't be fake news if everything I said is true.

 

You can't let it go that you have serious reading comprehension issues, can you? It's fake news because while there technically wasn't a fire for four hours, the only reason there wasn't was because the fire department was babysitting it and kept spraying it with water for those four hours.
Sorry you cannot understand the article you posted claims exactly that.

But as I've already said that once and you can't comprehend it, I'll just be done with this thread unless someone has anything that's not fake news to add.

 

Well, as long as we're quoting "for the record", your link is from Tesla, and they're well know to play down the role of autopilot in accidents. I'll bet the fire chief is driving a new Tesla about now. The fact remains that there was nobody in the driver's seat, so either it was in autopilot and it switched off, or they were using the adaptive cruise control and assuming it was in autopilot. Two stupid men are still dead.

Meanwhile, 2 new Tesla crashes while in autopilot. One in the LA area, and the other in Washington State. One resulted in a fatality. The other one hit a parked cop car parked on the shoulder while it was in autopilot.
