For Jones Express, van company: The 53 foot vans are available for lease. Without physical damage insurance, thier $115/week excluding maintenance and $164/week where in we cover maintenance. The maintenance covered program is only available to those hauling pooled trailer freight. In terms of finding freight, you can do it yourself, rely on a dispatcher on do both, where the dispatcher looks for loads when asked. Jones passes through 100% of the fuel surcharge paid by the customer. We do loads out of the Harbor Dillon DC. That frieght has a fuel surcharge which runs .10 below national average, so if the national average is .56 this week, their fuel surcharge is .46/mile. The pay is either a milage or percentage program, plus 100% fuel surcharge. Milage is .90 on all miles and no trailer charge or exposure, except a physical damge deductible. Percentage is 74% of the gross line haul for loaded miles. Out of Dillon, most loads would net you 1.25 per mile plus fuel. We have other loads which pay more, but that a good example of what is near your house. Plates are IN plates, and $50 per week until paid in full.
We also have Jones Motor Co and Hot Shot Express which are flatbed/stepdeck companies which have higher rates due to the equipment.
Drivers beware of jones motor express

I just stumbled upon this and as a current lease operator with 2 trucks at Jones Motor I can tell you they are a great company to work for. My husband and I have been here since May of 2010 and have never had any problems at all. As a matter of fact, they have gone above and beyond for us more than once. If your complaining about freight, look around you. The entire flatbed, step deck industry is hurting right now. Jones is by far the best company I've worked for in my 10 years out here, and If I have my way I'll be here for the rest of my driving career

i was leased to Jones for about four years and never had a problem, hauled a cover wagon from east to west. money was always right and on time, if it is a touch load u know up front no secrets I got run off due to to many log book violations, i got caught alot, but other than that had no problems getting loads to stay moving and money was always within two days as long as i sent in fuel and logs

I would tend to guess that Jones is a good O/O company, as I like ti give em all a fair shake before running em down. At least I can say it from experience. If their last quarter average was $2.64 to the truck and I have my own trailer and my operating costs of said truck and trailer are $1.04/mile, then I should be able to put $1.60 a mile in my pocket on all miles since this is their average rate?? Seems a lil unrealistic unless someone can point out what I am missing...

They are all like that. We were based out of Atlanta and it was one lie after another. We are working for a MUCH better company now. Don't have the favoritism going on. It's first come first serve.
