1.Buy a Galaxy 99 from Bell’s cb.
2. Send it to Harddrive.
3. Have it matched to a 2x8 amp.
4. Get a spare 200 amp alternator.
4.get two West Mountains speakers and turn them into earmuffs.
5. Get two fighting sticks from Merlin or Mr. Coily.
You will have a nice setup for under $5,000 and it will have integrity.faux_maestro Thanks this. -

Hee, that’s okay, it’s just a joke (kind of) about some existing threads. If you think you would like the Andy radio, then get it. I’ve never used one so I can’t be of much help as far as what the radio is like. Maybe there’s some video reviews out there to help with your decision.Last edited: Jun 14, 2019

Radio: $50-100 bucks for the cheaper smaller ones depending on brand.
Mic: $50-60 probably astatic or rk56 depending on style, both decent.
Antenna system: $100-200 total for everything, depends on the truck you have and what kind of setup works best, as long as you're not getting those super antennas and stuff, get rg8 unless you're using dual antennas.
Speaker: $50-200 depends on what you want, noise cancelling/loud/etc.
Tuning: $50ish, uh factory alignment or snip n clipping can get most places, it will be better to find a good one than being in a hurry and taking it to Joe blow, seriously.
So pretty easy to get out under $500 total for a decent setup that you'll be happy with.Intothesunset Thanks this. -
Does “budget” mean having to buy things twice?
First, cheap crap.
Second, getting what you should have gotten the first time?
“Budget” should be bang for buck, but I don’t see some artificial limit as being relevant.

That sounds TOO good. What's the catch? -
