Good post ... except, two copies? There's no requirement to carry two copies of previous seven days (14 in Canada). After all, once you turn in your paper logs you now only have one copy.

I love DDL works great I just wish they had something that could remind you to do the DVIR.

I have been stopped three times since I started using DDl and it never fails the D.O.T officer wants my log's "OK here are the last 7 days and I need a min to print to days for you."......" Are you using Driver's Daily Log Program?"......."Yes I am Officer"......"Here you can have these back I just need your licence and permits."

You can "config" the DDL to automatically show that you completed an inspection everyday and will show "pass" by default. You would have to manually enter any defects.

Oh, and don't forget a cop can get a signed search warrant FAXED to him and it is legal, but we can't use (YET) a "signature" bitmap file in DDL.

Well, after replacing the BLACK print cartridge for the SECOND time in less than 30 days and running out of ink AGAIN, I finally did it.
I stopped at a WallyWorld and bought the KODAK ESP3 All-In-One printer.
WHAT A DIFFERENCE. I am IMPRESSED. It prints a cleaner, BETTER looking page.
    There are only two draw-backs:

    1. All the buttons are on the opposite side of the unit compared to the HP 3100 All-In-One. Not that bad to get used to.
    2. You have to supply your own USB cable, they don't provide one. Again, no real big deal if you are replacing an existing P.O.S. HP Printer. Just steal the one from the HP. It is useless anyway and would make a good tire chock.

Don't most printers now days come without a USB cable?

Actually every printer I have ever owned, I have had to use existing cables that were bought separately. I have never received a cable as part of the purchase.

    Brickman Thanks this.

I started buying them in the early 80's. I bought a new laser printer as a backup for tax preparation and it did not come with the cable. I had to order it separate. It was a USB connection. Was a first time for this connection. Last laser printer was purchased in 1996.
