Usually. What's the use of including a 6 foot USB cable when you need a 20 footer? They are standard and readily available at WalMart and and Walgreen's type places, even at 3AM.

If your buying a new printer why not buy a wireless and be done with it.
-

That would work in a truck ONLY if you set up a wireless network in the truck using a Wireless Router. Otherwise; a USB cable would still be necessary.
-

might as well go elogs we're all goin there anyways. save yor money and it'll be mandated soon.
-

So, if I DON'T save my money, they WON'T mandate it?
-

I believe there are some printers that work wireless and not through a router.
-

BlueTooth, perhaps. But for it to be "Wireless" (802.11 standard), there still needs to be a router/modem.
-

Yep at the major retailers they say for cheaper printer, but thats when you look in the stores and they show you 30 dollar cable which a .95 cent cable does.. If buying printer, google the usb cable you need and find them very cheap on internet I won't say which site due to rules but they are out there.

edit: I forgot about the new wireless printers too, on servers and bluetooth too

I might be new to this but being inside of the training truck. Why would you need anything but a simple computer and a printer on a short cord.
-

Because you might not want to, or you might not be able to place your printer near your lap top.
