I have great legs so I wear shorts in public. But you’ll never see me without a shirt on in public. Sure I’ll mow my grass behind the tree line with my shirt off, but if you pull in my driveway I’ll quickly put on my shirt.
Once you hit 30 you have to leave the shirt on when you’re visible...

@tucker... it is true that you and I have had differences of opinion on things. John Wayne being the best example of that. But, it is really important to me, that you understand that there are people (you and @Swiss Mountain Dog being two of them -- and there are several more) whom I think are very important to this thread. Both of you offer very good opinions.
Having said that, I hope that quoting your original post on this topic does not upset you. You said "She should have stayed at home" with regard to the lady with one leg. So in fairness to all, you kind of singled yourself out as being very unfair with regard to someone who should (in your defense) have had the sense to, for lack of a better word, been a little thoughtful and modest. I absolutely agree with you that perhaps she could have taken precautions to cover that ghastly looking leg. However, my idea of modesty is far more conservative than many other people. So, with that in mind, I have to allow for other people to use their discretion when it comes to common sense and/or sense of appropriate or modesty. I dont think you have it in your heart to intentionally hurt anyone. That is something that I really admire about you. But, please understand that telling someone to stay home because they are gross looking is unfair. The beach is there for everyone You agree I'm sure, right?x1Heavy and Swiss Mountain Dog Thank this. -
I would have a problem with that too. It's not so much the meat and bones but the potential for problems. I don't know what in the world kind of medical care she was getting but that's outrageous. -

I took a container to Ocean City back in the 90's to roughly the 35th street, give or take a few blocks. A new or replacement hotel was being built there. In the container was a floors worth of wicker furniture made in Indonesia or some place that took a long time to reach Seagirt in Baltimore before they gave me the load that morning. When the dispatcher gave me that load he teased me saying that now I get to have some fun on the job at the beach. I imagine he wished he would like to escape his cubicle and hit the beach as well. Ocean City for me was a vacation spot and therefore not a stressor except now I had to be careful where I stuck that 18 wheeler.
The crew told me to vamoose they have the understanding what to do with that load. And will stick the signed bill sometime that afternoon into my cracked window when done. It was a rainy day, but a memorable one. Kind of off a little bit because Im in work clothes, boots and jeans etc. Not exactly the sort of thing you go to the beach on. In the end we made some good memories there worth a lifetime. Particularly the food. (And the outrageous tourist prices to boot.)2old Thanks this. -
