No, I am simply saying that what was traditional dress across almost all areas of society has changed during my 64 years.

Traditions are very good and should be maintained, but I am no longer sure that what a person wears to church, to a funeral, to work, or to drive a CMV determines how well they worship, if they are paying their requests, providing their employer a good days work, or their abilities to drive a CMV. I do believe that there many, many more CMVs today than in year past. The increase, I would think, has brought about a watering done of the "Traditions." This is really kinda of sad, but its what it is...

You are correct, there all many traditions that promote safety on the highways and as they go, so does the safety. I pray that most will continue with the traditions that promote safety...blinking the lights, moving to the left for a vehicle on the berm, allowing a vehicle to enter the left or right lane of the oppose lane, etc...Tks

"Traditions are peer pressure from dead people."

Having said that, socks with flip flops just look plain retarded.

This rock formation is in a rest area near Bennington Vt. I'm not a geologist but I am drawn to look at it every time I pass by. How the heck does something like that form? There's a 90° bend in those layers of rock and it just doesn't seem possible to me for rock to bend like that

Perhaps? Beats me? They say geology is the study of time and pressure (Quoting from the Shawshank Redemption). That makes sense to me. But when I start to think about the amount of time and pressure it took to do something like that, it just blows my mind

That formation likely occurred while the Appalachians were being formed some 300-400 million years ago while Pangea was being formed from all the the tectonic plates colliding. What you're looking at predates the dinosaurs by almost 200 million years and even the great Permian Extinction event.

Wow... you'd think someone would put up a plaque explaining it -- wouldn't you?

    That's amazing and thanks!
