it's expensive to get the tickey taken care of but it does actually work.....
with dlp i had to pay them like 15 bucks a month. plus 100 if i got a ticket.
all they do is bribe the judge. If your original ticket was going to be 100 and costs, it will miraculously turn into 150 and same costs, but the charge will be a nonmoving violation and doesnt appear on your license. and since we drive for a living, i'd say that's a pretty fair deal. i'd rather pay a couple bucks now then lose a job or pay higher truck insurance for points on my license later

    Yeh.
Today I was approached by sales reps from "TVC Pro-Driver" # the Love's in West Memphis, and they started bashing on the "Driver's Legal Plan" right away, so I would like to get an opinion too. You just don't know - a professional driver can be pulled into something where an attorney would cost more money than is on the bank account. That is what I am afraid of.

They tried that with me and I told them they were nuts. I drive the speed limit and have never worried about it yet.

I once talk to Drivers Legal Plan on the phone about a fast driving award I received. After all the BS they wanted me to send them $700 some dollars to handle a $150 ticket. :biggrin_25513:

Did you have their plan already, or were you using their attorneys without membership?

I am a member of PrePaid Legal and I would not drive without their CDL plan. I have had two minor speeding tickets reduced by them in the past. Just because you have a lawyer, doesnt always mean they can get a ticket dropped. Many times they can get nonsense tickets dismissed, but if not, I would rather pay a fine and not have points. An "equipment" violation on your record is much better than a speeding ticket. Anyone that drives out here without legal coverage is a fool. What happens if you get popped for vehicular manslaughter in an accident and you have no lawyer to call? Wow...

Some folks may very well need to keep some assistance on retainer.

But if you drive like you should, there is no reason to waste your money.

Interesting how those two-bit, ambulance chaser, sleeze-bag lawyers can always find a niche in whatever group they decide to prey on this week!

What is so hard about following a simple set of rules/regulations?

Must come from the "I got to be first" mentality. If the speed limit is posted at 65, there are so many who think that means "70 will be OK"..

From the depths of stupidity come lawyers to show stupidity has different depths!
