I am asking you to cite it. -
I said that i believe it's in the 1500's. Or look in the bioterrorism act of 2002 under title III. The agency names change on a whim,(HSA,DHS,ect)the end enforcement is the FDA. The enforcement is on the shipper/manufacturer. They have to be able to track whomever has been in contact untill it is recieved. Then the reciever starts tracking. It's not a big deal, many did it before 9/11. They introduced many regulations after 9/11.

why is it so hard for people to cite a relevant code if they are claiming it exists.
-
She hasn't been online in 3 years!123456 Thanks this. -
Why do people with no knowledge claim something doesn't exist? -
Thank you also.
Your "description" would not have given (and wasn't giving any) decent guidance to finding the CFR. Especially since it's called something entirely different and has an entirely different code that what you described.

Now the question I have is:
Does Identifying the carrier (IE company hired was Swift) simply meet the requirement? or does it have to be drilled down to the driver (John Q. Driver)? The part I highlighted in Red is where my confusion is coming. It would lend my to believe the driver.
But no where am I finding it REQUIRES that I allow them copies of my drivers license or even provide my license to them. Just provide my legal name.
It helps having friends and family in Federal regulatory positions who help explain the process to a person.
I have issues with a LOT of the Post 9/11 regulations and laws that were passed. We may as well get used to people just asking "Papers please...." and subjugating ourselves to them.Blackshack46 Thanks this. -
I was at home last night, needed to be here in the office and look up our safety procedures to get the right #'s. Nothing requires a drivers license, the carrier name(or broker) is fine.(Though insurance may demand more info) Both carrier and broker are required to keep records of all loads hauled,so if they need to get to the actual driver the carrier will have the info.
If you don't want to allow a copy of your license, there may be no load. Your choice, right or wrong. I know of no law that forbids the copy of a DL,DQ files must have a certificate or a copy of CDL. -
No need to tighten up guys, there are several options:
Get a state ID
Get a flea market ID ( they look really good )
Show them your TWIC
OR
Use the renewal license from your hazmat ( what I do, it's the one they give you during the wait period for hazmat)
In the chemical world everybody wants everything so I keep a full supply of throw down items like keys, cell phone, ID, camera etc. They don't know any different and they're happy they have something to hold. Just don't get caught diggin on the radio or yakkin on the phone in the plant. They won't be happy.
