Weather you agree with Ronin's action or not--or how he may or may not have handled the situation--there is one part of his post that he is dead right on " When is this not my problem epidemic gonna end?" There does come a time when certain situations are everybody's problem--and I am not saying this is or is not one of those--but the point is--too many times in society today as a whole--people look the other way at an injustice--and it is wrong..............
Also in this I believe he said--they were an older couple(yeah I know I don't know how to do that multi post copy paste deal)now I do not know what older is in his mind--Hell I'm older--but not used up--and I DO treat everyone as I would like to be treated---BUT I do not tolerate bully's well--and in this case if some young punk--was even remotely trying to intimadate this "older couple" I doubt seriously my OLD REDNECK ### would have let it go either--As far as I am concerned if you are asked politely to do the right thing--and you reply violently to someone who is obviously smaller/weaker(pick your own adjective)bet your ### I'm gonna call you on it--
As the saying goes--might as well get on with this SONNY--cause either way--one of us is going to jail and one is going to the hospital--I don't much give a F*** where I spend the night!
    Just my $.02

I was backing into a dock once, when a guy pulled in behind me with his car and went into the building blocking the dock.I thought he might only be a minute ,but after about 10 minutes, I had him paged repeatedly.A cop happened to drive past, I called him over and explained what happened. He called a wrecker after another 10 minutes. The wrecker came, started hooking the car up and the guy comes out screaming " You're not hooking my brand new car on a wrecker."
The cop said" Don't have to now,but you are paying for the wrecker, and here's a $50 ticket to go with the tow"

I may have to buy some mace. Never carried it before... but in my little adventure at the Hagerstown Pilot, the guy was actually towering over me, within inches, with his arms out, threatening to kick my ###. Mace would have been really handy - and would have been appropriate. Of course, it would take even longer to get down the road, and the guy would probably not learn anything. Anyone that stupid would think it was my fault.

Make sure you stand away when you fire it off... or you'll end up getting more than the other guy, and trust me, it sucks. Most Army-Navy surplus stores sell it, as do places like Cabelas and Bass Pro.

I got mine at a police supply place, and didn't have to have any special credentials - I didn't want the truly nasty stuff that would have required law enforcement ID... no need for that stuff, since I'm not facing whacked out hard core criminals.

Right now I am stuck in Louisville Ky waiting to get unloaded, (got 25,000 Lbs of bad beer). While reading this thread I was reminded of a conversation I had with an old timer (long ago retired trucker) about this parking issue. He told me the primary blame goes to the truck stop's themselves. They long ago stopped providing security and its this lack of people on the ground making these moron's move that is the main problem. We all know that if there is no threat of being told to move a trucker will just park anywhere. Just yesterday morning in Virginia I had to wait a long time just to get into a truck stop because 3 trucks were in the outbound lane and both the inbound and outbound were having to use the inbound lane. The fuel islands is a bad problem too. I remember a night about a month ago in Missouri, I had just picked a heavy load up and was looking for a place to scale. I could not get onto the scale for the parked trucks all around the scale. Thankfully I had the tandems on the trailer right that night. When I finally got to scale I was way east of the state scales. Its a sad fact that these idiots will continue to park this way, and till the truck stops wake up and do something its only going to get worse.
