Seems to me that I guess you wear the pants......nothing wrong with cuckolding if it's your thing. My point is that you are trashing a company that you had a bad experience with and by reading the tone of your posts, it sounds like you were 75% of the problem.

Everything you stated is correct.
I was a company driver.
I left Melton and dropped there truck at the el Paso terminal. 3 Months later i get a call from their lawyer stating i owe them 975.00 for recovery their truck.
They send me to the credit bureau.
Melton stated i had to leave the truck at their OK terminal and find my way home.
Aren't they soooo nice. -
My fiance and I drove for Melton for 8 months until she came down with some immigration issues that could not be resolved from the road. We were a team, one of the few teams they had. Anyway, niether of us can say much bad about Melton. Our driver manager was always good to us. Always got us home when we wanted to be, sometimes there was a day or two longer than we requested but that's just trucking and we were glad to get home when we did.
The equipment, well let me just say they have the finest equipment either of us have ever used. They equip their trucks with everything you would need for proper load securement. The tarps are a little bit over the top but we just dealt with it. Most Melton loads are tarp loads so plan on tarping about 90 percent of the time.
I think the only thing we ever had to buy ourselves was a ladder and gloves. That's for real.
Miles were low to our standards but I feel our driver manager did the best he could for us and it's hard to get team loads for flatbed anyway. Not that many coast to coast runs these days, especially flatbed. But again even with the lack of miles Melton partially made up for it in other ways and we both agree it was a really nice group of people to work for.
Their benefits were superior, compared to other companies.
I know there are some who have not had such a good experience with Melton from their point of view and I can't explain why that is but ours was generally good.
In the end when we phoned to quit, our driver manager was really cool about it and gave us a load near Birmingham and had us deadhead from the delivery. When we turned in our truck we inverntoried it on the spot and made certain the inventory was signed off while we were there, that's important. But they were still very polite and even gave us a cab ride to the airport, that's class. So all I can say to them is thank you and hope to see you again sometime when things get better for us.happypappy25, SouthsideTRKman, Sacred Feline and 2 others Thank this. -

Ive been with three companies in the past and ive always always dropped the truck at the home office, or with sni i dropped at w.memphis and got a writen statement from my dm to drop it there.. always always always get that truck to an approved spot and get proof that they told you to leave it there...or play it safe and get to there home office..
it may take a few days outta your life, but unless you want neg remarks on your dac and costly calls from lawyers.. do it right.Sacred Feline Thanks this. -
You must have not been with them very long.

Sarge, good post, sums up my experiences with them so far, except I am still there. Heck, I even got brought to Tulsa a couple weeks ago and got a 2009 KW T660! Only thing I'm not liking about it is that Auto Transmission, it's great climbing hills but I still miss shifting!
