Reading some of the positive posts here is almost like reading positive reviews by those who can't quite speak English correctly on Amazon.
That might mean something.

Well, i am willing to put my money where my mouth is... So, im going to be headed up there... July 13th 2020... They asked me how i would like to travel: air plane, bus, car rental, or train... I have chosen train... I have not been on a train as an adult, so i thought it would be nice!... I going there for two reasons... One i dont have enough credit to step into a rig or the cash to obtain one... 2nd is even if i did own a truck, i would be willing to pay someone to do all the details for me anyways: like anything other than drive... Yet i digress, i am just looking for these 18 months to roll by and to make at least $1000.00 a week clear... Im not going to get rich in this industry as a owner/driver... Im just trying to pay my bills and own the truck later on down the road... This will be my 4th lease... The other 3 had big balloons and i juat leased another truck... Tax right offs for leasing is great, and keeps me from paying out the tail in taxes... The other 3 leases where with frozen foods express (aka FFE white and green trucks)... I made great money there as a trainer and the only reason i left was they discontinued the lease ops/owner ops from training and at the same time my mother had cancer... So i came home and stayed here till she passed away... Then i went back as a local for O'Reillys d.c. 19... And i found out im not built for local night shift work... So, im going back on the road and doing what comes naturally to me... Been driving since 2001... I will try to remember to update...

Update... Ok...made it up here... First impressions are everything... So i enjoyed the introduction i received from Cedric... He is your liaison for the company... In other words he will be pointing you towards the trucks, and helping you finish up your paper work on day one... They feed ya lunch... Its was a tasty sub... And he comes across as a very friendly and honest man... But he can let ya know your place if you try to step out of your lane... Seems to be a treat you the way you treat me, kinda fella... Hooked me up with a nice motel room for the first night... Now the bad stuff... Trucks i looked at, had 330k- 530k miles on them ( this includes both frieghtliners and kw's)... Trucks i viewed seemed to have some types of body damages on them (some worse than others)... These are used and some abused trucks, but not all of them... The frieghtliners seemed to have more body damages than the others, again these are used trucks (aka not new shiny rigs)... I was given about a hour to view the trucks and take my choice of the trucks (side note. First come, first serve: during orientations)... I looked at most of them... But i leaned towards the freight shakers... They lease for only a 18 month lease (aka 1 and a half years)... Kw's is a 2 year lease... I have not seen the contracts yet though... Its just day one... But i digress, i mentioned the defects i found on the truck i had chosen. Which was a 3 axle alignment, a fuel cap missing, and the rear A/C wasn't working properly... Cedric, said no problem, and they have it in the shop where they stored the trucks. He says they will check all my complaints out and fix whatever is broken or needs fixing... So thats happening tonight... I was like ... I will update you guys again tomorrow... And so far so good...
Milkman719, Lonesome and deathB4decaf Thank this.
