Drivers using the passenger door?

    Years ago when most cars had bench seats, this was the way most people entered and exited their cars. Only changed in the 1950's when more cars started having bucket seats. You used to see it all the time in movies from the 30's and the 40's.....

    2 common reasons for the passenger door use are cleanliness and a team driver asleep in the bunk.

    the cleanliness is obvious but think about if you were asleep in the bunk, opening and closing the door on the passenger side is less likely to wake your team partner with the door that is in use not next to their head.
