“A New York minute” not enough time to read the contract , whitch he has probably never read, sounds like a bad case of selective hearing.

It's a predatory practice, very common in our industry.

These company's (like Prime) prey on guys like this, who really don't know any better.

Even though there's a plethora of information out here, which clearly warns against entering into an agreement like this, they do it anyway, for a whole hosts of different reasons.

companies dont pay billions in marketing and advertising so people can make their own choices, they are legal con artists, not much different than the 3 card monty guys at the truck stop, and they brainwash and condition everyone coming thru the door to go along with it, from the top right down to the driver.

yeah, i agree, he just either did not fully read, OR understand the contract, so who is really at fault?

in this case, i feel it's a frivolous lawsuit.

The driver has the final say on whether to lease a truck or not.

go to a schneider orientation and listen to how they talk to new drivers, its like a mass brainwashing cult going on, and it doesnt mean your dumb to fall for it, it just means you have nothing to compare it to, thats why they will tell you the grass isnt greener, they dont want you out their getting informed so they do the best they can to keep you in the cult because thats what serves them not you.

exactly, but as i see it, so many are sick and tired of working for someone else, taking orders. so they want to be thier own boss.

i have always said, anyone wanting to be an o/o, or even a l/o, should have "some" business/money managing experience.

but apparently, so many just want to be., "thier own boss"....

anyone can pick up a tony robbins book and figure how to make someone believe their final say was actually their choice, call it brainwashing, conditioning or whatever, a superbowl commercial isnt worth what it is because people have the final say, smart people have the final say, that why the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

Most drivers aren’t lawyers and didn’t bring one with them to orientation.

They don't force people to Lease, to become a contractor. Just because there is a doughnut sitting in the garbage can dosn't mean you need to pull it out and eat it....

Don't go into it blind, read the fine print.
