I don’t know if you are being serious or not, but I am going to respond as if you are.

Being bitter means that you don’t like who you are. Change that. I understand getting older and the challenges that come with age. I am old too. I stepped on the scale 10 minutes ago and weighed 209lbs. 32 inch waist and 19 inch upper arms. The girl lying in bed with me just turned 34. She is a very high 8, possibly a 9 (and a nut job according to the hot/crazy scale). I am not bragging, just pointing something out for the old guys. Confidence, bro! Be confident. Learn to be confident. Never had anything over a 6 until I turned 45.
This crazy girl is with me because she loves my “calm.” She says her being with me brings calm to her life. I give her rules like we are not going to yell or say hurtful things or slam doors and apparently she needs rules to aid her sanity. I don’t have much I live simple, I’m ugly. People look at her, and look at me and I know what they’re thinking. Haters…

My Sgt at arms in my club (I am the prez) was 300+ lbs, PTSD, Iraqi vet, medical discharge, didn’t like who he was, made changes, dropped 70 lbs, got into the gym, 48 years old now, had a 22yr old pursue a relationship with him and they’ve been together for 3 years. He’s even uglier than I am.

Point is, don’t hate. Dont look at what the next Man has. Do you. Take whatever it is that you have, and work with it to your best ability. If you still are in decent health, get into the gym. Read. Learn. Meditate. You have to like who you are in order to even begin to be able to enjoy life. Confidence, Man. Get yours.

    Six back quiet.

If you woulda kept your old Pete to play with during your retirement you’d have a much less grumpier attitude. Lol.

I though it was the American way to hope that things are better for the youth than they were for the older generations.

But hey, Father lives and Son dies is the Christian way so maybe I have it backwards.

This is why I’ve kept my 1979 KW K100 parked in the backyard for the last 17 years. Its there so “If” I ever retire, it’ll give me something to do, even though it’s just turning the key and listen to a BC1 run without all the emissions crap.

Thanks, pal, I'm entirely serious, hey, I'm not that upset, bitter may have been the wrong word, more like disgruntled, or disillusioned, as to how our society changed. Forgive me, but I get that "just change" krap all the time. Many factors prohibit one from doing so, and talk is always cheap. I did everything I wanted to do in my life, and never once thought I would live to be an old man. Health issues, fixed income and can't earn anything, ambition, it's just a logical progression that I've weathered better than some, for unknown reasons. I was an avid bicycle rider until I passed out and tumbled to the ground, cause unknown. I've never been a volunteer, basically most women in my area pixx me off, and are single for a reason, they probably killed their husbands with demands and insecurity, or watched them die and don't want that again, and most everything I held dear, is either too expensive, or unavailable. I have my memories of a more civilized time, but I just don't fit in this society, and I know it sounds bad, but I wish I was born 40 years earlier, with hot rods and The Big Bopper and bypassed this whole era. Talk to a shrink, you might say? I can't begin to tell you how much I would dislike that. That shrink would be going to THEIR shrink with what I told them.

How long ago did you retire ? Was it forced retirement(young age) or just time ? Just curious cuz I’m 63 and that’s all that crosses my mind lately. Am I going to lose my mind by staying home, am I going to get sick, etc…..

The most difficult thing that you will do in life is change for the better. ‘Just change’ sounds so simple, doesn’t it?
If you’ve done everything you wanted to do, why hate on a kid living his dream? He seems to be a decent driver to boot.

That kid was driving like he learned from a real hand, and not the turban suburban school. I love the look of a stretched Pete, but it wouldn't work for the shopping centers I deliver in daily. Hell, my Volvo barely does it, especially if there's customers or abandoned vehicles in the lots.

Well, when you kick the bucket I would appreciate you leaving me the K100 in your will.
