Yes the OO is the way to go for sure, but its not for everybody. I am happy for those that make that work out. I am past age to open a business like that however. But I am proud of O/O's, good job. I am sure can be a hard, but everything is really. You are working and thats wonderful. All the luck and brillance to you I say. Very good.

Got my call from the new boss, owner. I start tomorrow with a 5 Hour Orientation at his Shop/Trucking Co. 25 Trucks in total. I am considered full time but will switch to part time after I get 1 year from retirement. I am going to buy a very very small farm/farm land myself. I am in 22. 2018 KW Auto with 380,000 and change. Midwest small time owner operator, actually it looks rather nice there to be honest, 1-2018 KW is something I don't have, so its big to me, the business is, licenced Diesel Engine Repair Certifided Man/Gentleman type. Church going man with wife and teenager, she answers phones and stuff, takes messages. He does not want to grow, not now anyways. Likes the 25 Truck setup. He and his crew do all kinds of farm equipment repairs and mantainance, and of course his Trucks. Other Trucks. All kinds of Trucks. Has Fuel Island out in front. For the public if they desire. Diesel/regular unleaded. Its very small town, very small potatoes kind of feel to it. I think I found my last job. Time will tell, but it feels that way. Thank you all if you read any posts before I landed this job. Remember always respect the party that loves the USA, not the one making deals with the Dev##. Do not use illegal drugs, do not use weed ever. It causes nothing but problems, unless you are fully retired and on medicare, that way the rest of us don't end up having to take care of you, all strung out in a tent in blippersburg. Like Mr Andrews Train Employee Supervisor, left billbozo once he failed those 2 UA's for the Railroad, and dufflebag the dog billybozo was given by a dead bum, in 2009. You remember that story, right? Do not end up like this. Dufflebag was a dandy, but billybozo a very typical pothead, went right down the tubes. (** made up account, of very very true events that have happened to others **)

So long and keep on trucking. Learn how to vote. do not smoke pot or use illegal drugs, have a micro brew, or a nice glass of wine, listen to those older than you. Don't comment when you know you are wrong, dont turn on your own countrymen, whats wrong with you. If you disagree you need to get out of trucking. Be a protester instead. Admit when you are wrong, we are all out here together. Take care, fold in those ridiculous trailer tails, and put a ball cap over you sleeper facing cameras until that company you work for removes them. God bless you. Each and All. Ask Jesus to forgive you sins. Live a good life. Help others that are trying to help themselves, but not the ones trying to help themselves to welfare, and everything free. Bye for now.

I worked for a mega for 3 months, left and spent 6 months straight in a sleeping truck like a slave. I cried myself to sleep at night for being worked too hard making $2500 to the bank every week as a single guy, at least I had plenty of $100 bills to wipe my tears with.

I would be fired on first day of a orientation for a big fleet. I have a very course filter and Cannot stand the PC culture. I am not intentionally rude or try to piss on peoples feelings.

Not sure I could handle all the company policies and politics. You fellow drivers that do. My hats off to ya. Better men and women than I ever will be.

Schneider had a speaker come into orientation and say if you do this I will Fire YOU. If you do that I will fire you. Even the other speakers that were waiting for their turns were looking at that guy... I will FIRE YOU.... geez. The drivers were talking about him for a few days after that. Hopefully he got FIRED.

I got lucky getting this job. I got out of the military thinking finding a job will be easy. 6 months and 300 job applications later the savings was drying up, I said well I guess I’ll drive a truck.
So, after 5 months with May I started applying for every driving job in the area. So when I got an interview with a company saying that you needed 5 years of experience I “knew” I wasn’t going to get the job so I was uncaring at the interview and told them what I believed not what the experts said you are supposed to say. They liked my “charisma” and offered me the job.

    Best to be yourself, always.
Then both sides have a proper understanding.
