Ever notice in these threads how those of us that choose to be comfortable and slip our shoes off before they touch the inside of the cab are never trying to convince others to do it our way, but the people who view is as “wrong” literally spend pages trying to convince us to wear shoes? I’ve been driving in my socks since the late 90’s, so I doubt anyone will change my mind now.
It’s really not that hard. You get slip-ons or put elastic laces in your shoes. As you’re climbing up the right shoe comes off as you enter the cab, left shoe comes off when you plant your butt in the seat with your left leg out the door sill. Shoes go between the driver seat and the door. Muck boots and work boots are in the side box of the truck if you need them.TokyoJoe, Brettj3876, magoo68 and 5 others Thank this. -
Back when I would find skate shoes to match my truck.
A folded hand towel fits in that space well to make a spot for your shoes.
Brettj3876, TallJoe and tommymonza Thank this. -
You sure you're not a girl, or are you just... "fashionable?"

Not that there's anything wrong with either of those.
tommymonza and 062 Thank this. -
Yep
I owned a 4,000 sq ft shoe store for a couple years back in the mid 90s
The amount of older people’s feet I witnessed progressively ruined from unsupportive footwear was astonishing.
People go from 9m to 11e.
A lot of that contributed to being overweight also
I used to say the 2 most important quality things you should buy in life are a good mattress and a good pair of supportive shoes.
Try to sell an older person with bad feet that came in wearing worn out $20 Payless shoes a pair of $140 NewBalance .
Kind of like trying to sell the $700 new seat to the trucker who thinks the seat that came in his old Pete 20’years a Go is still Fine.Last edited: Jul 31, 2020

I just refuse to admit to myself how old I am. Once I admit I’m in my 40’s it’s all downhill.86scotty, TheLoadOut, 650cat425 and 2 others Thank this.

I used to keep my shoes there in my Western Star until they vibrated the battery disconnect switch off once going around Chicago.
Great spot for shoes. Lousy spot for disconnect switch.Long FLD Thanks this. -
Yea but it’s a small majority that are making all the Noise.Long FLD Thanks this.

Generally I agree but pickle suit cargo shorts I think are kind of cool for summer. It's either that some shade of khaki or brown which is kind of meh.Redtwin Thanks this.
