Well not trying to argue but I have a DAC that says different. Employers are Not the only ones who put things on DAC.

.... Not that it necessarily matters.
What does matter is the RATING of the trailer. That's where they're getting these guys in pickup trucks. -
I have never worked for the Virginia State Police but they have signed my DAC. As for the rating of the trailer, in TN, if you haul something for someone else on a trailer you own, you have to have a Commercial tag on that trailer. I own 4 of them.

Again, your DAC report is basically your employment history. Now keep in mind that when a perspective employer runs your DAC they can also access your criminal and MVR records. If a police agency issued you a violation it certainly can show up in the MVR report the DAC (Hireright) company pulls up. But this doesn't mean that the police "put something in your DAC," it means Hireright pulled your MVR.Dan.S and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this.

,,, which I've never been able to figure out why it would matter if the trailer itself (say empty) was within the GVWR of the vehicle towing it?
I think they are kind of overstepping their bounds on that. -
The VA State Police thing is on my DAC. Whats more, DAC said they couldnt remove it even though it was put on there in 2002.

If your trailer is rated for more than 10,000 pounds, you need a CDL.
firemedic2816 Thanks this. -
What is it? A ticket? An arrest?

Nobody but Va State Police, other than employers.
