It may be on your DAC that you see even after all these years but after a certain time frame future employers do not see certain things. I have things on my DAC from 2003 that I see when I request my yearly but current and past employers cannot see that info.
These are things that I answer "no" to on applications but are clearly a "yes" according to DAC. Never had a past, present or future employer question my apps.

You have a 3000# trailer with a 6999# vehicle on it and you're good (9.99k)
You have a 6000# trailer rated for 11k and you put a 500lb motorcycle on it and you need a CDL for towing 6500?
Just never seemed rational to go by rating to me. -
If you've got a 6000lbs trailer that can only carry 5000lbs, you got ripped off.

The 11k was for for demonstration purposes... just over 10.

It's spelled out quite clearly in the CDL handbook (and even on the back of licenses):

I'm late to this and I apologize for just skimming the previous posts so if I repeat stuff I'm sorry. I had just about the exact same experience 2 years ago at my old job in up in Minnesota. I was driving a 1 ton pulling a 50 foot goose neck trailer. I was issued a warning for driving a cmv with out proper license and given a ticket for being 13k overweight cuz my trailer was licensed wrong. Company had a semi plate on trailer but never increased the weight on the truck plate. I was pulled out of service and had to sit around till a coeworker with a CDL got there. Anyways the overweight ticket was reduced to 1300lbs and the company paid that so I thought I was out of the woods, wrong. I actually had my CDL permit at this time and got my CDL about 3 months after this incident and after having it for a year I applied for a part time weekend job at Ruan delivering to Target stores. When I filled out the application I didn't even think to put down the incident when asked about previous driving infractions. Very much to my surprise I was turned down and for a pretty serious infraction in there eyes. They said they couldn't touch me while that's on my psp and companies usually go back 3 years. I explained the incident in detail and still didn't help. No gray area in there eyes and to them I may as well been driving a semi. I think also they may have looked at the fact I barely had their minimum exp requirement and since I didn't disclose it on the application it may have looked like I was trying to hide something. So fast forward a little and when I started talking to companies I brought it up real early in conversations with recruiters and it shut me down pretty quick with with a few of them. Now finally it isn't gonna kill your chances but it will effect them a little. Get a copy of your psp befor you start applying and be upfront with companies from the start. I ended up at a JBH DCS account and all is well so far. With that on my psp they look at it as I have one major on my record and a second one would end my employment so I have to stay clean especially till that comes off. Didn't mean to me turn this into a novel but basically be up front, make sure you talk directly to the safety department of any company you may apply with and double check your application is signed off on befor you go to oriontation and you shouldn't have any surprises.

That class of vehicles is the DOTs number one target I think. I feel for those hotshot guys. I had good equipment and still lived in total fear of the DOT.
