Bullet, what does paying into my pension with my money (dues) have to do with disagreeing with the Union on their political stance? Show me where I quoted that I disagree with any pension plan. You can't.
If you want to be the "Union Hack" and start another thread about my disagreements...knock yourself out. I dance to my own music, not yours or anybody else...Union or Non-Union. I've been trucking too long and been in the Teamsters before to play your little game. Save your pointless arguments for somebody who might give a crap about your opinion.
I get my paychecks from Pepsi, not the Union and that's what this thread is about...Pepsi.

U4EA - I'm not sure what the difference would be. I was pulling a flatbed which required a lot of manual labor but I imagine it would be more. Not knocking the Union, they have their place but their not the end all/be all in trucking. I've been a Teamster before and made tons of money as a non-Union driver, saving enough and investing enough to retire now if I choose to, but having an 11 year old daughter makes that a little unlikely, lol.U4EA Thanks this.

Been running steady since I started here. Our plant sponsored a Rockfish fishing trip for us this past Saturday on a charter boat on the Chesapeake Bay. Couldn't ask for better weather but the Rocks weren't biting. Ended up catching 18 Bluefish instead but we still had a good time. I ended up buying a bushel of crabs for $50.00 (a steal), went home and feasted with family and friends.

Your Transportation Supervisor has the money and authority to sponsor events like this. This is an annual event here at the Cheverly, MD. plant. They also give away free tickets to places like Six Flags, Hershey Amusement Park (Hershey, PA), etc.

my supervisor is running all three plants and has the pay roll and is involed in testing for adding some sleepere to the fleets besides its all good as long as i get paid i dont need the extras plus its really slow so some guys cant even get days to work be safe blue crab

Our Supervisor runs 2 plants, Harrisburg, PA and Cheverly, MD. We have a full time Asst. Trans. Supervisor who actually runs things here.
Are you guys really that slow? We're busy as hell up here, with some drivers running the weekends.
Stay safe. -
we run on sat thats it no Sunday and here they still have allot of third party going on see our plant up until last year actually was a Pepsi America plant and did things different than pbg so up there its business a usual where here they are still working out bugs in the system
-
Well, good luck with that. I read where they had split but are now under Pepsi again, at least we are.
They had a Pepsi America (or some other name) here for a few years at a different location. Some of the drivers worked there and said it was a mess and are happy that Pepsi took over again.
Really don't have any complaints here except driving 65mph in those #### Internationals. We rent out a lot of Penske's, I need to talk to my supervisor and try to get one. They'll run 70-71 mph and can save me 45 mins -1hr of driving time. Starting at 8pm, I don't run into any traffic, it's steady running and usually long hauls (by their standards).
Hope all's well with you. Stay safe. -
Hey MDBlueCrab its nice to see another fellow Marylander on the board. I myself was born and raised in Baltimore my whole life up until April. Im currently in truck school out here. There is a Pepsi in Salinas, Ca which is about 25 miles from me. My teacher says they hire new drivers out of CDL school. Is that true back East?? I would imgine it would be side loaders mostly and more manual labor which Im cool with. Do you work with any new drivers? Does your facility run city routes? I would love to work the night shift hours that you do but I may need more experience. What are the start times usually???
