driving for us express

Hey there drivers... I have been looking around for a company to go with lately and I have been very interested in US Express. I have driven company and also driven Independent before too. After a negative experience as a IC i came home and tried to find a new career choice. That idea only lasted me 2 months..lol now I am going to be headed back out. 2 of my top questions I have that I have not seen is 1) Are Power Inverters Allowed and what is the Max size Allowed ... 2) What is the governed Speed in the trucks (Top Speed).

But as of now I am liking what I am hearing.

 

Also I live in Southern California.. Would anyone know where I would be sent for Orientation?

 

Yes you are allowed up to a 1500w inverter and the shop will install it in the truck for free. They would not allow you to install it.

The trucks are governed at 65 mph

As for where your Orientation would be, I think you would go to Colton for that.

 

Actual allowed inverter size is 1750 watts. They are hard to find however

 

only truckstop i have seen a 1750 is sky city (acoms, nm. exit 102 on I-40)

 

So whats the routine at orientation? I was scheduled for it today. Set for January 3rd coming up. 3 days right.. share a motel room?? whats after the third day?? any say in the type of truck you want??

I just got CDL last week and leave for US Xpress in Tunnel Hill Ga next Tues. I hope I made the right choice.

Will graduate soon, wondering about orientation, closest to MN , how long to expect, how long for training, do they have a lot of female trainers? and how long to expect to be out when driving team.
