You will have to team for eight weeks. You are just going to have to suck it up or go elsewhere. In my experience, the new drivers who list all the things they don't want to do are rarely successful.

I'm in North Carolina, East of I-95. I have been having severe difficulty in finding a company that hires in my area. Is this going to be an issue with USX as well?
Any drivers out there from East of I-95, input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. -
i know alot of driver's east of I-95Filmore Thanks this. -
I am from East of I-95. In fact I need a boat to go any farther East. Teaming is great. Truck keeps moving. I also agree with Craig. Do not complain and get along and you will be successful.
Filmore Thanks this. -
Thanks Buffalo644 and flood, for your input, that has been one of the most distressing issues I've encountered while trying to find a school and company.
I'm from Wilmington, NC and like Buffalo, you can't go much farther east.
With all of the research I've been doing on companies, USX is at the top of my "Preferred" list.
I also realize that coming into this career right out of school, it's no time to complain about anything.
I see some of the posters here talking about what they expect and want the companies to do for them.
All I want is a foot in the door so I can prove what I can do for the company who is willing to give me a chance. -
Have you looked at getting your CDL at CFCC?
-
i got them thursday i graduated from cdi in south bend indiana am trying to decide between us express and schneider
-
Windsmith, I have looked at CFCC but they want $1300 cash in full up front with no options for financial aid. For me, that's not an option right now.
I have submitted a student loan application for Roadmaster in Dunn, NC. The tuition is 4 times as much, but I can make payments over time and they guarantee job placement for life. Also, if they can't place me, I don't have to pay for tuition.
Hopefully I will hear something today or tomorrow on my loan. -
Also don't settle for the companies that go through your school if you don't like them. Remember, the school gets a recruitment bonus. They don't always have your best interest in mind. -
I've been researching companies hard and heavy. I understand there are going to be naysayers for every company, I read what they say with a grain of salt.
I'm looking for the company that fits me best, while keeping in mind that there is no such thing as the "Perfect" company for everyone.
I'm also keeping an open mind as I'm sure there are things in the industry that I am not even aware of at present.
I have read so much great information on this and other forums and appreciate all of the input that the seasoned truckers have given.
Right now I am waiting to hear back on my student loan for Roadmaster, hopefully I will be starting toward the end of this month.
