driving for us express

Correction on Craig's post.......the trainer can drive the first 75 hrs of training if needed to......the trainee (student) drives as much of their 11 as they can (or want to) and then the trainer can finish out the 14hrs because they still have 11hrs of drive time available................After the 75 hrs you can go Duper Dolo (staggered hours) or go Team.

 

I am not used to being up all night ( not a young guy anymore ) I know I will have to get used to it. Just would like to have someone up to make sure I stay awake. I will be going solo. Does trainee start driving right away or does trainer drive the first day?

 

It totally depends on the trainer.......my first student started right away because she drove a standard in school and had to "refresh" me.....LOL........my 2nd one had never driven a standard (I didn't know that) but I drove out of Tunnel Hill because we were going to the rail yard in Atlanta and then I turned it over to her.....so she has been learning how to drive a standard and she's doing great.

I don't anticipate getting to drive until we go Super Solo and then I will only drive if the load requires more than 11 hrs drive time in one day......that's because I will start my day about 4 hrs later than my student.

 

when my trainer pcked me up at 1800 he drove for 3 hr's then i started driving at 2100 the first night..... no big deal for me thou i like driving at night

I am recent graduate have all set up and pre hired with USX , now they told me I have 2 speeding tickets in 2009 and have to wait until jan 2012 ??? just before living for orientation

 

Nope, just read it again it says duper dolo plain as day. where were them glasses when you typed it. Lol

 

Maybe its just a variation of "Super Duper" solo.... LOL.
