I heard that they just cut the pay for new hire company drivers dramatically.

If so, then you can do better. Send them a message and just say no. It's not what it used to be.

Walmart thinks that they're so big and important that they don't have to negotiate anything. It's their way or the highway.

Okay. So my next question is, what is the break down on the rest of the pay aside from miles. Can you still make 72k plus starting out as advertised?

I used to think Walmart was a very Corporate company. But what they did for a driver I know I have changed my thoughts. I can’t explain specifics but most companies would have let him go. But because he was working hard for them and not complaining they stepped up for him. I was very surprised. If your a complainer anywhere or lazy there probably the one with the negative comments. Some people think their the hardest workers but in reality are the complainers and lazy. Take some of this company hate with a grain of salt. I have no doubt you’ll make money here. Cpm and the extras all add up. You don’t do any of the dock sitting like everyone else. You turn and burn. So how do you not make money? Unless you want to be home all the time.

There’s people on here that hate on Walmart cause they just hate the company. Like I have a friend if I mentioned a very good union company his first reactions is they suck. He’s never worked there but according to him they suck. Lol.

They’ve been doing that for years man. When I started 12 years ago I pulled from one of there mega carrier attached DC’s. They have alll kinds of DC’s with mega carriers attached to them. Cheyenne been here for 10 years with a swift now crete terminal in the Walmart DC.

Well currently they are hiring at 32 locations. Older senior drivers are fed up and retiring. All new hires will be hired on at .38cpm(.38 specials)

Will you make more than swift, jb, Werner, Schneider, etc? Yes with activity pay $72k is obtainable.

Question you must ask yourself is why are you valued less than someone who hired on before oct 2017? You won't get annual raises like the old crew, you'll be a .38 special until they decide to throw you a bone.

Question is If you are ok making approximately $20-$30k less than the old crew?

Thank you. I’ll take this into consideration as I’m making my decision.

I’d talk to the Walmart guy on the interview about pay. If your leaving a solid job they’ll understand. I do know they pay all kinds of accessorie pay like living in the truck etc that others don’t pay. My friend gets paid like an extra 400-500 a week to sleep in the truck so don’t just look at the cpm.
