Driving in the NE

I studied classics, history and political science in university and I still ended up here!

It's called revisionism when you try to rewrite historical events so they are more palatable for a modern agenda.

The reason we don't learn about the greatest engineering feat in the world (the Great Wall) is because we didn't build it, but we're #1!

The reason kids don't learn about he Korean War is because it is embarrassing, and we didn't win. But we we're #1?

Vietnam? Watergate? Reaganomics? Stunning examples of recent failures that are noticeably absent.

Yet we trumpet WWII as the last GREAT war! Because we won, and we're #1! We're #1!

 

Don't feel bad I have a master's in aviation management and I'm in a truck now......but that degree, as worthless as it is now due to cutbacks in that industry, gave me the financial freedom to do this now because I want to, not because I have to.

There are just as many of us educated ones out here now as there are complete morons....,it's just the morons that always get the attention for being......well......morons lol

I think that kids NEED to know failure. how else do you learn to get better, to improve, to win the next round.??

seems to me, they face failure head on.

Oh well, I like going to night school when I can, my current job does not allow this, and here there are no weekend classes. Schooling online, does not do it for me.

 

I think the morons far out number the educated.

 

It seems that way for sure but it's just because we just keep a low profile and don't get noticed like the morons.

The morons end up on the news every day. Just this last trip to the NE I saw one on it's side on straight road and heard of 2 bridge strikes on the parkways gumming up morning traffic on 2 consecutive days. Not to mention the usual idiocy that goes unreported each day......as the ones of us with our head on straight keep our head down and don't stand out.

 

I wear either blue jeans (in the winter) or a work pants in the summer, and usually a pocket t shirt.

I think that by doing this, I do stand out. cuz if I wanted to blend in, ( and thusly go un-noticed) I's have to be wearing sweat pants, and flip flops.

You will find parking very difficult after 4 p.m. there is no truck stops in MA.

 

I don't have any grand kids, so when the neighbors have visitors, I go over and borrow thiers.

 

If you're technologically inclined....put TruckerPath on your smartphone to help you find open parking spots up the road. Google maps can show you traffic backups and bottlenecks at a glance. But as it's been said, the single best thing that will make life easier is to start early and shut down early if you can.
