I should give the crapcadia a try. It's really a universial agreement among drivers for the most part that they have been truly crappy.

Shame, you think with decades of American Engineering or should I say European doodling.. ah forget it... (//Poke the bear...)

Think of being behind or beside another driver that was constantly pumping his brakes. The flashing lights disguise the important lights other motorists need to notice. Also, drivers tend to bunch up in a line of cars with 4-ways. How is someone, say in the left lane, supposed to tell the difference between your 4-ways flashing, and just your left turn signal flashing if he can only see the lights on your left side. It trains other drivers to ignore your lights & signals after a few seconds.

Ditto for the people that hit their 4-ways when they approach stopped traffic. Maybe it's a good idea to activate 4-ways as you approach the unexpected stop of traffic. But once you have any vehicles stopped behind you, turn off your 4-ways. At most, only the last vehicle in the pack should be blinking away.

Most of these issues come from most drivers treating driving as a secondary task. It's something they do with the tiny part of their attention that hasn't already been devoted to texting or talking on the phone or watching YouTube as they drive. You can train yourself to multitask, but you concentrate on driving and use the tiny remaining portion of your attention to do the other things when the driving tasks are routine, not while passing, in curves, approaching traffic signs/lights, backing, etc.

That is ####ing annoying, all they are doing is creating reduced visibility to following traffic and confusing oncoming traffic running 4 ways. I think they teach all the panty wearing girlie boys to run with 4 ways on whenever rain or hint of snow or fog.... Idiots even sit with 4 ways on at rest stops and pulp load checks areas. Its ridiculous. They should stay the #### home.

The people ordering trucks usually have been taught drivers complain, no matter what, and there is little to learn from a driver. They get to work while staring at a smartphone in a car or SUV. A big truck with headlights higher above the ground must see better. They never consider conditions everywhere are any worse than their drive from the suburbs to the city where they work.

Where I used to work there was a 4-way stop. It was awesome to see 4 idiots arriving at the 4- way stop and all of them with blinking 4-ways. Now other traffic has to interpret which of your turn signals IS NOT FLASHING to decode what you are trying to do.

Newbies are taught 4-way flashers are a Safety charm. Those flashing lights are a force-field that makes everything safer. It could be worse. They could be taught that using high-beam headlights makes everything safer.

I have also being doing the 4-ways when I approach stopped traffic on the interstate.. then when I see two or three cars getting stopped behind me, then I stop the 4-ways. It's because I see so many people on their phones I know most are distracted and I don't want the hassle of being rear ended and can only hope they notice my 4-ways flashing when they MIGHT otherwise not and plow into my rear. They can go off on another day and rear end someone else. I just want to continue on incident free.

But yeah, I'll stop using my 4-ways when it's raining heavily. Thanks for teaching
