Pleased to meet you, BigB66. :biggrin_25514:

You can add me to your friends list that's, fine with me.

That was the snow storm I sat through up in MA. I'm in NJ right now, Lakehurst to be precise. Current temp is in the low 50's.

I actually hit Snowball with a snowball.

It's boring when they don't fight back.

    Hello Everyone. :biggrin_25511:

It's called.......FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency).

I was called into action, and honored to be of service.

I'm in Lakehurst, NJ tonight, and if that name sounds familiar, it should. It's the site of the Hindenburg crash in May of 1937.

Myself and many other drivers have been asked to bring needed supplies and materials to a staging area at the Naval Air Station here in Lakehurst. My load of bottled water came from Westover Airforce Base in Chickopee, MA. I was late getting involved, but I'm still assigned to FEMA at this writing. We bring a load to a staging area, and then bob-tail back to get another trailer, and deliver the goods to the same or different staging area.

And because moving needed supplies in response to natural disasters is considered "an emergency service", all drivers involved are "exempt" from DOT regulations while in service. We are given documents that must be carried with us at all times while we work as emergency response vehicles.

I'll return to normal trucking duties as soon as FEMA deems that all needed freight has been delivered to the appropriate staging areas.

    Trips and stats.

Last weeks settlement: 2,072 miles. It appears that trips I scan in on Wednesday morning are not making it in to Fridays pay settlement. That's 2 weeks in a row with carry-overs. I'll have to plan accordingly.

Just a quick update. I'm off to bed

    Thanks for reading
